One eye, already filled.
In Japan, a daruma is bought with both eyes blank. You ink the first when you set your heart on something, and the second only when it comes true — the wish kept in plain sight until you've earned it.
Look closely at ours: one eye is already filled. That's the promise we set ourselves — to find the real thing, at the source — already kept. The second eye stays open. That one is yours.
名前 · The name
Why Tokyo Found
We began as Kizuna — 絆, "the bonds between people." We loved it. But a name should tell you where something comes from and what it does, and Kizuna kept that to itself.
So we changed. Tokyo — the source: the workshops, pharmacies and counters we buy from directly. Found — the discovery: the genuine article, brought back for you. Everyday Japan, found.
